NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO — November 20, 2014 — Unified, provider of award-winning marketing cloud technology, today announced the appointment of veteran CMO Carol Kruse to its Board of Directors. As a seasoned leader, Carol brings over 25 years of experience at some of the world’s largest companies and marketing organizations.
“Carol’s experience as a CMO makes her a powerful addition to our Board. She knows what Global 2000 marketers need from partners and technology platforms as she has sat in the CMO’s seat,” said Sheldon Owen, CEO and co-founder at Unified. “She understands the pressing demands of our customers for a data-centric platform that puts insights, content, and advertising to work at scale with enterprise-class data management and security.”
Carol served as Chief Marketing Officer at ESPN and also led digital marketing for The Coca-Cola Company for nearly 10 years, in North America and then as Global leader working across 206 countries worldwide. She also co-founded RocketCash, a pioneering online promotions and digital payments firm acquired by The Coca-Cola Company in 2001. Earlier in her career, she worked in a variety of marketing and brand management roles at Storm Technology, Procase Corporation, and The Clorox Company.
“Marketers are using social media to reach and influence consumers with unprecedented success. However, the complexity and depth of data generated from their marketing campaigns require CMOs to lean on technology like never before,” said Carol Kruse. “Unified’s powerful platform puts big data to work to solve the CMOs biggest problems: harnessing vast amounts of data to drive smarter decision making, more effective investment yields, better targeting and more relevant messages - all with provable ROI.”
